Need some educating.
« on: March 15, 2015, 11:44:49 AM »

OK I just installed 4 Hawg Wired 4 ohm speakers on my bike. And they are powered by a hog tunes 40.4 amp. This amp is a 2 ohm amp. Every thing sounds great but I am wondering if there is a problem with running 4 ohm speakers with a 2 ohm amp.

Second, I am looking to get a new amp. Looking at ARC audio xdi 804 4 channel amp.

  http://www.woofersetc.com/p-10488-xdi804-arc-audio-4-channel-480-watts-amplifier.html

Are these amps any good? Will it work well on a bike? Will it work on  CVO bike?  Thanx for the info. cheers.

I think you are fine running 4 ohm speakers with a 2 ohm amp.  You cannot run 2 ohm speakers with a 4 ohm amp though.

Ok, that's good to know. It sounds great all hooked up. Now what about that ARC audio amp, has any one used it before and would it be considered a "high end " amp? Is it any good.
