2000 SERG owners!
« on: January 20, 2007, 01:36:20 PM »

I need the part number for the tour pack wiring harness. I have a tour pack off of a 2000 SERG with the lighted spoiler and inside tour pack light. I need the part number for the wiring harness that wires the spoiler and light and connects under the seat to the bikes wiring harness. I was hoping someone on here had a parts book and could send me numbers and pictures if possible. I bought a king tour pack off ebay and want to wire it properly.

OK, here is the part # for the original harness from under the seat threw the entire pack:

70929-01

But if your just trying to fire up the spoiler and light I would suggest going to HD ( you can look on-line too )and get just a plain harness that doesn't have the CD player plugs. Unless you plan on putting a CD player in.

Good luck

The HD store here doesnt want to order parts, they want to sell bikes and chrome, I cant even get them to look in the parts books, seriously, I cant stand even going there. I like to find it myself and go online to order. Screw them!  >:(

If you need the color coding  and functions for the wiring, send me a PM. I can also copy and send you the diagram if that'll help.

P.S., I'll look for the antenna relo hardware tomorrow night.

The spoiler needs 3 wires (grd, tail & brake) while the internal light only needs 2 (grd, 12V).  You'd be much better off to simply get the two terminal connectors and make your own harness.  You'd be able to use 4 wires to get the job done, none of which need to be any larger than 20g, maybe even 22g for the spoiler.  My dealer is pretty good, so if you want (and you give me a couple of days!) I can get the part #'s for the connectors for you.  Just PM me.
