Has anyone noticed the recently added fitment restriction on the HD website to the CVO colored paint to match King Tour Paks?  Look at 53172-05BSE for an example but all five of the colors have it listed.  

They're now all reading that they fit only the chopped tour pak backrest.  The part number for the red one now is the same as when I got mine several months back.  The restriction wasn't listed then but is now.  Mine has the big backrest and I know others do on the king paks as well.  

Suppose HD has listed the fitment restriction just because the chopped backrest pad is the only thing they've got that matches the stock seat.  In any case it's liable to confuse someone later on.  Might even keep them from buying a pak thinking they can't do something they might otherwise want to.

Has any one had a problem with putting the backrest with arms on the King Tour pak even though they have a restriction on the King tour pak?

I assumed that the King tour pak came with the two holes on each side predrilled to install the armed back rest (?)

No problems, I had to drill to put the King backrest on. They sent it out with the chopped tour pack backrest on it. Looked kinda funny, that big box with  the itty bitty backrest on there, who knows why the moco does what they do, they probably have a perfectly good reason, but you can put the big backrest on it no problem.
