So, now I'm an idiot? You know I try to be a good CVO owner, I buy all the right stuff, redesigned the garage so as to allow protection and workability. I use the right cleaners, polishes. I keep the temp just right. I avoid potholes and puddles while riding.
All this and still, Im an idiot.

Me too.  Don't remember specifically about what most recently.  But it is with adamantine certainty I have been and will be again.  We are, however, idiots with CVO bikes that we have made our own.  So what's not to love .
