i didnt say that any 110's came with the forged crank. they dont - unfortunately.

but the 103 kit for pre 07's did

and the specs on the pre 07 103 police had the same part.

but some 110 baggers DO have the same air cleaner that the 103 kits had and the police bikes had.

what i was trying to get across is that if you are just standing there looking at a bike - and it does have the air cleaner with the cutouts in the  rear lower area [three square holes] AND it is prior to 07 [and NOT a 110] then it is likely to have the forged crank.

to

Sorry, but the 103 kit for the '06 and earlier bikes (which is the same as the CVO 103 btw) did not come with a forged crank.  There are two stroker cranks from that era, the plain cast version that came in the CVO and the kits, and the separate SE forged unit that sold for around $1100.

fedupc3,

You will never be able to tell much by what air cleaner is on a Harley, since that is the single most changed item on any Harley.  Plenty of us with the 103's dumped that plastic air box immediately in favor of the open SE round backplate and K&N filter (or one of the aftermarket variations).

If you really want to know what cams you have, it can be determined without completely tearing everything down.  Get someone to measure the approximate lift and duration by removing one of the rocker covers and measuring as they turn the engine over by hand.  As for the crankshaft, unless you want to pull the cylinders I can't think of an easy way to tell exactly what you have.  As long as it runs well, why worry about it?

Arlen Ness Big Sucker.   :2vrolijk_21:

:2vrolijk_21: Plus 1 on that I've had good experience of a couple of Bikes with the Big Sucker - performance and lack of oil misting.

Not sure, is the 09 different than the 08 fly by wire? Might have to look in the HD catalog at the P/N's for the throttle body, or call Doherty.
