Just tried it and got a green cruise light. Does that mean it was disabled and I just enabled it?

If the blinking cruse light is green, it's enabled. If you see that and want to disable it, roll the throttle back to rest and then forward again, the cruise light will then blink red, which means it is disabled. You can then shut off the run/stop switch and the ignition, which will leave it in whichever mode it blinked last.
