Garage Door Transmitter Not Working?? This could be why..
« on: May 10, 2009, 07:40:04 PM »

Couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work, tested voltages, hi beam, low beam all good then I spotted the wires on the Transmitter connector were crossed, Black and White!!

Pulled the pins and reversed them now all works fine!  Quality control at it's finest.

Speaking of quality control, I couldn't figure out why I had such limited CB range on my SEUC4. I took the bike to a professional two way radio shop and after doing diagnostics for a while, they determined the CB and AM/FM antennas were installed in the wrong socket. They switched them and I was good to go on the radios.

Ken (Hogbreath) you need to read this thread.  I never thought to check for this when we were looking at your garage door transmitter.

Can it be plugged in backwards :nixweiss:

Some plugs are reversible, wouldn't think that Harley would use one though

Nope, it's a 4 wire deutsch connector that only goes together one way.  Whomever manufactured the Transmitter connecter goofed up.  How many times is the question..
