Progessive Drop-In Fork Springs
« on: June 07, 2010, 11:30:33 AM »

Just installed Progressive's 412 Lowered Shocks on my 2010 Ultra Limited.  The rear sits much better now but I still think I'd benefit from lowering the forks.

I've been hearing about Progressive's "Drop-In" springs.  Would you fellas suggest this type of spring..?  Wasn't sure if this was a cheap fix or a good solution.

Thanks!

Yes and Yes... But with choices available, Progressives new Mono Tube Kit IMO is the way to go, And you have your choice of standard or lowered height too...

I just did the monotubes (31-2500) standard height after pulling the (31-2501) lowered height.  the bike still dropped 1/2" with the standard kit.  Better ride, less front dive when braking and more controlled in corners.  Ordered through OneStopMoto.com.  Not a bad job.  Took 4 hours for me.  You need a 1 3/8" wrench for the top nut and I replaced the brass (6mm allen) bolt and copper washer at the bottom of the forks.  Went with Bel-ray 10W fork oil.
