When I play my iPod the volume will only go to half way. When I try to raise the volume past half way, it will play louder for a split second and then drop down. Does this when I "bump" the volume higher at each "bump". Volume control is fine for the radio or CD. Not sure if it is the HK head unit or the amp. Doesn't matter where the AVC is set as the results are the same. Checked and confirmed all setting on the iPod so I'm at a loss other than to bring it back to the dealer and say "fix it!". Any suggestions?

Had the same issue on my FLHXSE2, it ended up being the amp which is an ongoing documented problem. Replaced amp and fairing speakers under warranty as both or all three if you count the tweeters have superseded part numbers.
