1995 Lincoln Town Car
« on: February 24, 2013, 11:57:29 AM »

Ok heres a question for all you car mechs. Bought a a lincoln for the daughter and seemed to run fine first couple hundred miles. Now all of a sudden when turning lights on or even stepping on the brake to shift into gear to back out of garage it will stall  :nixweiss: . Just a note, I have replaced the alternator and battery at the same time couple days ago. Still have same issues. Thanks in advance for any ideas. This one has me stumped!!!

Replying to my own question because I got online and got some help from a forum called just answer. Allit was, was a loose ground but it was located in the trunk. I would have had no idea to look in that area. Thank goodness for the internet  :2vrolijk_21:

Yup - same problem with a similar Lincoln.  It was the ground cable from the engine to the frame.  Replaced that cable, and all was well again.
