You said you bought four of the K&N filters and used on the wife's bike. The next you tried on your bike and it didn't work/fit for some reason. So you went to HD and bought a HD filter and you'll try the others later?

Why not see if the other two filters are good or bad? As stated earlier, ALL TC motors use the same filter.

Just wondering about the spare two and that you didn't try one of them.

I didn't try the other two yet. After I tried the first one I wasn't certain that I had the correct filter. I made the assumption that 171c was the correct filter when I ordered them as the K&N site says they didn't have any products for my bike.
