Terry Components' Terminal Velocity
« on: February 21, 2005, 09:57:25 AM »

I have just been turned on to this new product..I spoke with a sales rep today about what to do with my new scoot. He was very informative about the "o2" sensor port that the Reinharts have on there True Duals and how nobody uses it. Most of us know how our cars have an o2 sensor(s) ..  to keep the car running smooth WHY NOT HAVE ONE ON OUR BIKES!!! This product re-maps something like 300x a min for a smooth and efficient running scoot. There is no need to dyno your bike because of the fuel/air mixtures are being corrected every 1/3 second or so. It only makes sense to me.. no more rich or lean smells coming out the back of the scoot and smooth through every gear. I will give this a shot and post my results soon. If you have used this product please let me know what you think.

Lets's see: $ 499.95 for Terry Components EFI systen with o2 sensor and $631 for rineharts with o2 sensor port for a total of approx $1150( probably should add $125.00 for SE Air Filter).  Bonus - no dyno tuning and no more maps, and flexibility re: performance up grades.  Sounds almost to good to be true!  If you look at the dyno charts in the link provided by Twolanerider the numbers for the 103" build weren't great.  Who's going to try it first?

Did you see the air/fuel ratio on the dyno sheet for the 103?

I found this on the Terry Components' website.  I wonder what level of configuration they are talking about?

** Although this unit was designed to make tuning easy, and works on the majority of bikes on the road, there are a few modified bikes that are configured to the point where the air/fuel ratio is critically affected. In these cases you would need to address this issue either with a Screaming Eagle upgrade, or a Race Tuner first.
