2010 header pipe cat removal
« on: August 24, 2009, 08:42:31 PM »

Has anyone attempted to remove the catalytic converter from a 2010 header pipe yet?  With the re-located O2 sensors, I was wondering if it will be more difficult.  I have already sent a PM to Fullsac Perf (Steve) to see if he has done one yet.

Another related question:  Does anyone know if the 2010 96" header pipe is catalytic converter free?  I have heard that the 2-into-1 which comes stock on the 96" Road Glide Custom and 96" Street Glide does contain a catalytic converter, but I have not verified that as true yet.

All 2010 head pipe have converters in them. Yes, you can remove them by cutting them just like before. From what I can tell the mounts look different between the 2009 and the 2010 so I do not belive you will be able to interchange them without doing a complete exhaust change over and then you have to deal with the new size and location of the O2 sensors.

Steve: In a related question, is the Mastertune program all set for the 2010 Touring bikes?? I'm sure a lot of us are already tearing into the pipes and air cleaner to get the bikes to run as well as the '09's.
Thanks, Mike

There are currently 5 base calibrations 96, 103 and 110 for the 2010 Touring models. We are working on more and as we complete them they will be added on the update service.
