Need help: Re Mystery Plug???
« on: October 15, 2009, 08:12:00 PM »

I'm removing my stock antenna wire from my '05 SEEG and installing a Tune Trapper in the fairing.  Actually I'm only pulling the wire back to store under the seat or left side cover for possible future use.

Under the front edge of the chrome cover over the left fender strut the antenna wire is tie-wrapped to another wire with a 3-prong plug on the end.  :nixweiss:

Can anyone enlighten me as to what this plug might be for?

Thanks!

What color are the three wires?  If they are black, red with yellow stripe, and blue, that would be the connector for the tour-pak lights.  R/Y is brake light, BE is running light, BK is ground.  The SEEG doesn't have tour pak lights, so the connector would be unused.

Thanks for your response Jerry.  As a fellow SEEG owner, you may have the same connector... Actually I would be surprised if you didn't 'cause I didn't add it to mine.

I'll check on the colours and report back.

Take care
