Removing Saddlebags on SERK3 to Adjust Works Shocks
« on: September 17, 2009, 02:56:22 PM »

Gents:

What order of activities do you do to remove the saddlebags ?   I know I can figure it out but without the manual thought I would ask for any hints on todo's not to do's.  I want to be able to adjust my Works Shocks, bit softer needed as I'm pretty light, and it seems to me that I have to remove the saddle bags to get to them.

For those of you with Works 13 inch shocks is any special tool needed ?   Bought the bike used so I dont have the manual.

Sorry for the easy hassle ...

Saddle bag removal?  Turn the two fasteners inside a quarter turn counter-clockwise and pull them off.  Reverse to install.  Don't have Works shocks, so can't help with that part.

Do you have the BARS system on your Works shocks?

Turn the ARS counter clockwise to increase the spring travel. Make sure you make the same adjustment on both sides. Don't over do it but you still have the ARS to help when your carrying a BSR and/or gear. Good luck with it, experiment and take your time.
