My wife and I just returned from Banff, Alberta Canada and had the pleasure to meet Russell (rascal1007) for dinner.  Just want to say thanks Russell.  Russell is in the black shirt, my wife in the center and me in the white shirt.

My wife sure did.  Ended up draining the battery on the camera after the third day.  I will post some pictures if you would like.  I hope to go back sometime and do some riding.  The roads were smooth and well maintained.  If I lived up in that area like rascal1007, I would be there all the time riding.

Ya, it's beautiful alright but you missed terrorist (tourist) season! I used to go there a lot when I was younger, haven't been back for years - too crowded.

I agree that I missed the terrorist tourist season and would only go in the off season.  The place was empty and we had free reign of the place.  While we were there, the first two days were perfect sunny & cloudless.  Rained the third day and snowed the forth.

I was out in Banff one time, and that was in late January of about '05. We drove from Vancouver, to Calgary, and up to Edmonton. It was absolutely gorgeous with all the snow. But that picture with the lake behind you is... breathtaking. Sometimes it's hard to believe there's places that awesome when you spend a lot of time in the city.
