All new software is released with calibrations for 2007 - 2011 Big Twins. We will be adding calibrations for the rest of the week until all the models have been filled in.

From what I can tell from my reading of the tuning manual, the .mt8 files are not all that beneficial to the self tuner with a unique cam because you cannot obtain cam intake close data without 3 controlled dyno runs. Same goes with the TPS Baro table? Am I understanding this correctly? Too bad it's not as easy to get the cam intake close as the intake open data, just letting the bike idle a few minutes. That would make this a breakthrough program  for those that don't have good tuners in their proximity.

You can use the Estimator that comes in the software for any camshaft design, it's going to get you close, it may get you perfect. You can then check the IVO point and make sure it it correct on your own but you will need a dyno and equipment to check the IVC point. There is no other way to get it done but no one else allows you to do anything about it. The MT8's also allow you to adjust for the internal EGR that is created in all engines as well, so they are an advantage to those who chose to use the new features.

Should I convert my MT7 to an MT8 by coping my VE tables?  Or should I leave well enough alone?
