Remove antenna Mount on Tour Pack
« on: September 30, 2013, 03:20:15 PM »

No longer need the mount. But will have 2 holes on the left corner on the back of the pack. Need to cover it with something. Any suggestions? Maybe some type of SE sticker.

I used two carriage bolts. Polished the heads mirror smooth with a drill and wet - dry paper and water.
Painted them with the supplied touch up paint.

Used a rubber gasket in the inside both for a seal and tension.

Originally I used some paint chips I had. Somewhere along the way I had painted parts that had these small self stick covers over holes. They peeled off easy enough. But in the end I didn't like the way the they looked.

Filling the holes and painting the tourpak is something I am glad I didn't try. My current light bar in less then a year is showing the filled hole location. :-*

The carriage bolts work good enough. The rubber gasket mentioned above is actually about twice the thickness of the tourpak and fits inside the hole. Compressing and centering the bolt as the nut is drawn down.

Don found one of the HD stick on badges that was just big enough to cover the holes and looks pretty good.
