Do the 15 CVO's have the upgraded cartridge front suspension?
« on: September 11, 2014, 12:22:19 PM »

I know last year the 14 CVO RK had the upgraded single cartridge front suspension even though it wasn't listed in the brochure or online. Do the 15's have it? Specifically the Street Glide. The only thing it states in the brochure is Triple Circuit Dampening.
Thanks

Had an 04 cvo Electra glide with the single front cartridge and hated it.  Constant bottoming out.  Replaced with new fork tubes and went with a traditional front suspension and ended 99 percent of my headaches.

'Don't know what suspension is in the front of the '05 SEEG (other than it's lowered from the Factory), but to me it's the best (stock) front end of any HD that I've ever ridden. I prefer the firmer feel.

'Haven't ridden a Rushmore yet...

To the OP, you might look at the HD accessories catalogue and see if the HD Premium Double Cartridge kit is offered for the '15s

According to the parts catalog for the 2015 SESG, the front forks are the old fashioned damper rod version, both legs.  No cartridge.  The single cartridge kit, and the low single cartridge kit, are shown as available for the 2015 FLHXSE in the accessory catalog.

Each leg has a spring.  Note the "fork" in the diagram under the spring leading into both legs.

Supposed to be a "New" fork leg diameter with new style springs. If you like a soft cushiony ride, the stock setup is just for you...

;D     That's just the lazy man's way of drawing to show that both legs have the exact same internals.

IMHO, I'm not exactly convinced that a single sided cartridge system is the way to go.  Ideally you want both sides of the front forks to react the same, to reduce twist and flex that results in "stiction".  A stock Harley front end, even the latest versions, isn't that resistant to twist and flex.

I looked in the online catalog and didn't see a dual cartridge system for the 2015 SESG btw.
