New to site - site looks great.   Two weeks ago I purchased a new 2015 CVO Ultra (picture below). I could have waited a week or two for the new 2016 but I prefer the 2015 colors, mine is the Carbon Dust/Charcoal Slate.  I didn't like the 2016 colors.  I look forward to using the site and seeing all the fantastic looking CVO's out there!

Question:  In the second week I removed the Cat, added FullSac Header, SE tuner, (already had the SE air filter), and on recommendation added new SE Street Cannon slip-ons.  Since then I've had really excessive backfiring.  I had the bike Dyno Tuned.  Which increase power, etc. but I still have the backfire.  On my previous bike, a Ultra Limited 2011,  I put on Rinehart pipe - which sounded great without the backfire (or not too much).  The dealer seems to think this is normal.  However, my bike sounds like a Gatling Gun with rapid-fire 'backfires'   Has anyone else fitted and had similar issues with their CVO or SE Street Cannons?

Appreciate any feedback!

I see backfiring as a tuning issue. unspent fuel making it past cylinder head or firing with exhaust valve open to far.

I would suspect A/F ratios out of whack running to rich.

I can make mine back fire like everyone else by letting engine drag (down hill) load up on gas and open up the throttle.

I know that is not your problem though.

That color is beautiful so IMHO, you made the right choice.  Your backfiring is not normal and probably due to a poor dyno tune.   I would take it back to the tuner and ask them to fix it. If they claim it's normal, tell them to fix it.    :coolblue:
