I wonder if it'll fix anything or cause more problems?

Agreed.....but the question is can you skip a release? Say you want to go from 1.19.1.1 to 1.19.1.3? Certain firmware will do that and others won't. Knowing HD you need to have each one.....

Yes, you can skip a release.  I did when my bike was new.  You can tell from the file size, 1.19.1.1 was about 824 MB.

That is for both the image and text files.  You will only upload to your bike, the image file. That's probably about 824 MB but I haven't looked.  That tells me it's a complete overwrite as all the previous downloads have been.

For myself and anyone else that doesn't realize the significance of the size of the file,,, what does that have to do with it?  :nixweiss:

i stole this from V-Twin forum :)
HD Infotainment Update 1.19.1.2 released 12/4/2015...but wait..
For those of you with a Rushmore model with the 6.5GT Boom Infotainment system, HD released the latest software update (1.19.1.2) on December 4th...but you might want to wait:

I just spoke to Customer Care at the Moco this morning...the girl hinted that I might want to wait until after the first of the year as another (read major) update should be coming out for the Infotainment system.

Apparently the wizards (I use the term sarcastically) from Harmon Kardon, creators of the Rushmore Infotainment system, recently sat down with the Customer Service folks in Milwaukee (along with other HD departments). They received a lot of feedback from Moco Customer Service regarding the number of complaints about the software and features not working reliably.

Reportedly HK is working up a new major update to inflict...err, offer to the masses in January of 2016.

Updates are free and easy to do, Sounds like they are trying to correct the problems. I have to think that those of you who constantly complain have never worked on or developed a project that went to market as soon as possible even if not totally debugged.
If you had you would have done the same thing as you also had to continue paying bills and buying food. You would do the same thing if push came to shove.
Mine works pretty good, I like it.

While I agree it sounds like they are trying to correct problems, we are now 3 years into production of this head unit, and it still has many issues.  It was 2.5 years into production before the AVC was fixed for example.  This is on a 40K bike, totally unacceptable.  People sure would not put up with it in a 30K car.

Heck my 125 dollar portable GPS can go from time zone to time zone and keep time correct.  This head unit can not.  Heck it looses and hour between East TN and GA which are the same time zone.  Thinks that west NE is Pacific time, thinks west KY is Mountain time.

GPS pointing the wrong way for a turn more than 25% of the time until the 1.19.1.1 update is very poor.

It was most certainly rushed more into production.

Yep, I worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for a Plant that had a new cold extrusion line designed and built by another company.  I insisted the contract for the line have stipulation for final payment, which was 20% line cost, to be paid only after the line was proven to run and function to spec, with the promised cycle time, and a 98% up time in a 24 hour day.

It saved my company millions.  As the line took two years to meet the promised cycle time and 3 years to meet up time.  The majority of the problem was programing issues with the PLC's.  All but two issues were corrected with software change.

Seems Harley has a week contract with HK.

Dave I just cannot understand why you buy a product you have so little faith in.
