CVO Deluxe Issues?
« on: July 12, 2016, 10:47:52 AM »

Hello everyone, I have a quick question. My wife is considering buying a 2015 CVO deluxe all stock with 400 miles on the clock. Do these also have catalytics in the exhaust? Any other known issues with these bikes? Seems odd there are some out there with such low miles, makes you wonder if there from the " I always wanted a Harley but don't like to ride that much" crowd or what. I know the heat issues I have had with my SG and assume this would be the same. Thanks for any input.

While true for bigger people, there are many smaller people who love them.  They are shorter and lighter than full blown touring models, which is a plus for many people.

Harleybar7, I'm not aware of any major issues unique to the Deluxe other than the issues that seem to afflict all Harleys these days.  And yes, there have always been a lot of Harley's for sale after a few years with hardly any miles on them.  I started seeing that phenomenom back in the 1990's when it became "cool" for people who didn't ride bikes to go out and buy one to fit in with a crowd and prove how macho they were.  And of course there are always a few stories like people buying a new bike and immediately being shipped off to war or having a major medical problem.

What seat did you put on yours and if possible could you post a pic? I'm seat shopping for sure after a 600 mile ride...

The bags can fall off... search the threads. I love my CVO though, 2015, too.

The engine is right below my super reduced seat (for my petite stature) but I use a "Crotch Cooler" from www.capt-itch.com
It works GREAT!!

Have had 2014 for 2 months and love it. Took the first big one day trip yesterday (400 miles) and we both loved the seating (me 170 lbs. - wife 110 lbs.) we are both in our sixties. So cannot comment if you are larger size.

I've had my 2014 CVO Deluxe for 3 years and 17K miles and no issues. I am 5ft 9inches and feel fine, but would believe if you are a little bit taller you might feel snug. I've done 400+ miles in a day on multiple occasions with no issue

Go for it.

It bullet proof, after all it's a Harley in it purest form.
