My tank lift kit. Raises the front of the tank 1 1/2” allowing for better airflow on top of engine, easier to clean, and looks better IMO. Will fit tall riders like myself better too. Detracts very little from gas capacity.

Since I can't really think of much you can do a CVO, I would say my V&H shorty pro pipe and my 12 inch ape hangers. May do something with the seat, not sure just yet.

Thanks, am considering matching the front fender paint to the rear. As mentioned the standard mirrors left me with an horrendous blind spot as they didn't come to the end of the bars. The Rizoma Tomoks now fitted took a bit of getting used to as once fixed they cannot be adjusted on the go. The blind spot has been eradicated but overall the rear view has been reduced, for me it was a successful compromise and they look a damn sight cooler too than the originals.

I'm happy to do it - the goal was to do the whole thing with original HD parts and only use accessories where necessary and sensible.

To keep the original look and to optimize the driving dynamics, a turbine wheel 3.5 x 19" in contrasting chrome is used.
To keep the chassis geometry balanced, stanchions of an FXDWG are used with dip tubes of an FXDF.

The purpose of the conversion is to further improve the proven suitability for everyday use and touring - the bike has already seen a lot and will see a lot more...

Thanks for that, i would like to keep the factory 21" front wheel that came factory on my bike, what did you go back to a 19" front wheel was it to do with clearance

Am i right in thinking you used the Wide Glide upper fork tubes & the Fat Bob lowers that you had polished & chromed

what internals do you have in them as i was looking at the tricor internals to stiffen the front up and improve braking

Only with an original HD 19" turbine contrast chrome front wheel a double disc brake can be realized with the same original look.

Correct, I used the original fork tubes of a Wild Glide. I used original HD chrome plated lower legs for a Fat Bob.
For the internals I used springs and valves from Racetech for the 2014 Breakout.

When using this longer fork tubes, the smaller front wheel balances itself out and the ground clearance remains more or less the same,
but with better handling...
The setup can prove itself on my next, second trip to the North Cape...
