Temp light and low fluid
« on: October 18, 2021, 10:41:01 AM »

Two things I'm really anal about is my tire pressure and fluid levels.  Check the tires every weekend, usually do my fluids every other weekend, well apparently that wasn't enough ha.  Last weekend about 30 minutes from home my temp light came on and of course the check engine because of it.  Pulled over did some investigating and found I had no fluid in the overflow, the previous week it was to the full line.  Let it cool down and then nursed it home and let it cool overnight.  Put fluid in the overflow and decided to check the radiator, wow I was surprised how much I added to the radiators, if I would have known I was going to add so much I would have measured it.  Still no clue where all the fluid went, rode it this weekend and life was good, checked fluids before, after and next morning and all is well.  Anyone else experience this?  Is it radiator fluid gremlins that stole my fluid?

How many miles are on the bike???? The only things I can think of are, 1 air pocket in the system, 2 leaking head gasket and 3 running hot and puking the fluid out.

Good luck.
