I will have an application coming up that will require a fuel pump as the tank will be below the carb.

The carb I have is a new Ultima R2, S&S Super E clone.  This will be in my Harley powered MG M-Type replica car.  The tank will be behind the seats and below the carb up front of the car.

I've read that motorcycle carbs do not like high psi.  I was thinking of a fuel pump in the 2-4psi range, but just wanted to ask the question.  I know that sometime someone here has had to run a fuel pump.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

I'm more of an automotive tech but we used to run 3 to 5 pounds on them.  I would think the 2-4 that you are looking at would be fine.  Volume is generally more important than pressure on a carb.

I don't think I'll use nearly as much gas as the 1.5 to 4 psi pumps put out, 20 to 28 gph.  I just don't want to overpower the needle/seat and flood all the time.  Most motorcycle carbs are used with gravity feed on the gas, so basically maybe 1 psi?
