Hi Pete,
Smallest spring Od- 3.891 inches or 98.84mm.
Have a complete SE Comp in the loft, got about 5k on it, but used with "Compensaver" oiling device, wear is good.
In case your wondering what the "Compensaver" is, well before the latest version of the HD SE Comp came out 2 American engineers got together to design and build a oiling device, basically a bolt in oil tray that sits under the top strand of the primary chain and collects huge amounts of oil, and funnels it by way of 2 holes onto the centre and spokes of the the comp, used it for a bout 4 /5 years never had to change out the comp again, they went to HD with there design and HD wernt interested, but if you look at the way they now look to keep the comp lubricated, they have in essence copied there design (without the bolt in tray), but one thing they did not do is replace that really noisey centre bolt roller bearing, the Compensaver has a composite bearing thats really quiet.
Myself I changed to te "Darkhorse Man-o-war" comp, much quieter and no metal to metal contact, bit pricey but works really well.
If you need any more info let me know.
Regards
Mark.
