Seat help
« on: July 14, 2024, 11:01:42 AM »

I am new to the board. I have a 2014 Road king CVO. I’m going down this ugly rabbit hole with seats right now. I’m trying to find the lowest profile seat with a backrest.  I like riding low
Does anybody have experience with the following?
Mustang wide tripper
Danny gray Bigseat
Bad Boyz Freedom
Lepera solo
Drag Specialties

I’m sure I’m missing some, I bought a saddlemen and  It was too tall. My back was killing me after 20 miles and I hated it.

Personally really like my Corbin solo. It’s low and compared to my stock seat I can ride on it all day vs a couple hours with the stock CVO seat. It has a slip in backrest that I can pull out and throw in the saddlebag. This came with the bike and I purchased a matching passenger seat. I can strip it down to the solo no windshield, and screw a luggage rack on for sporting around or use the passenger seat and snap the leather tour pack on. Roadkings are great all around bikes. Now my buddy swears by Mustang seats and has a fold down backrest on his street glide. You really want to test ride seats before forking out more money for something you won’t like. Corbin’s are firm and require break in weather it’s the seat or your ass getting broken in.

I have the LePera solo on my “street glide” and it works good for all day rides.
Have a Corbin dual seat on my Softail that works well for my passenger and me.
Had the mustang dual seat on my 2014 limited, didn’t care for it much, took it off.
I’m using the stock seat on my 2019 CVO and 90K miles on that seat and NO issues on long rides.

(Disclaimer) butts and padding may vary from rider to rider.

I’ve got a Russell Day Long and very happy with it. Just finished an 8000 mile trip (Massachusetts - Rt 66 - PCH - Badlands-Home) with zero issues or problems. I find it very comfortable. YMMV.
