Hello brand new here, and happy to learn. Picked up a 2016 Limited CVO with a 110 SE engine, with 6300 miles on it last summer. Yes, 6300 miles. I noticed when i got her home this thing had a very noisy valve train. Did my research, talked with the dealer where I bought it and they simply said the 110’s are “noisy”. How can a hydraulic valance train be noisy? I have since replaced the cams with the Zipper 587’s, installed a set of fueling short travel lifters and SE adjustable pushrods. The noise is practically gone except for a faint tick. My next step is to pop off the lids and check side clearance on the rockers. I bought a PV tuner and worked with the guys at fueling to develop a pretty good tune to run. I also replaced the front pipes with no cat pipes. It’s a true dual set up. The bike runs great, pulls nice starting at about 1800 rpm. I have read a lot about these engines having noisy valve trains. Anything else I should be looking at? Anyone else running this combo?
