My aching bum!

Looks like my stock seat just isn't going to cut it. I love the heated part but the seat just kills me on long rides. So those of you that have switched seats please chime in. What did you get and what did you think about it? I'm after a saddle that's comfortable for 10-12 hour days of riding. Thanks for your input!

If you like a firm seat the Corbin has been bought by many. they have one , heated and un, that matches ostrich of SEUC(2). have not had it to 10 hrs. but have gone comfortably to 8rs ( stock was a 100 miles and looking for gel pad!)  ;D john

That's a great looking seat for sure. Not sure about the firm part though. I'm looking for one to take the pressure off the tail bone. Some years back I fell on mine while roller blading and ever since it's been a problem.  :(

I had a Mustang seat on my softail and really liked it. But I have no idea how their touring seats compare.

My tailbone killed me with the stock seat...with the Corbin, not a complaint after a 14 hour day.

Here's a pic of their heated version

Too true.  But a good rear end is worth a couple of decimal places one way or the other....  :P

Ya know, I had no idea how expensive my seat was until I went to replace it.  I got the tan colour and that colour is just not standing up - 4-5 years - I know I ask waaaaaaay toooooo much!  But for the comfort, I will do it again.  I only wish my solo seat had heat as well.  I want it all, I know.  But Terry put a corbin on his bike and had great pics of it and I think if I was you, I'd just follow suit.  It is a great seat, and the comfort of being able to put down 400 - 800 miles a day in it is the answer to any question you may have.  On our trip to Nelson this summer, we expect to be doing many 800 + mile days.  We sure don't want a seat to be the reason we stopped at 500.  Know what I mean?

This is a message for Mrs. Ryan's bottom.  Ms. Bottom, I believe you'll find they are offering you heat in the solo saddle now.  Saw one on a Jalapeno about a month ago.

My Corbin has been great for many all day rides, although as those who have them know they aren't "cushy" .  The heated models have a bit more foam so they canbe a tad more comfortable.  I opted for a grey one to match my bike ,and to reduce the temp on those hot summer days,  and in retrospect  it may have been prudent to get a darker color that doesn't show the wear.

Bill Mayer makes custom seats , can do it on your pan , and will make them to fit your weight and personal dimensions. He will also work with you until it is right.

I spend 2 weeks a year on a Mustang seat doing between 400 and 600 miles a day with no problem.
After 100 miles are a Harley seat Im ready to walk.
