I'm somewhat new to the forum, but have posted a few times.

I'm at the top of the list for Doc's Harley here in St. Louis for the first 105 Anniversary SERK.  I'm not sure of the delivery as the dealer is still at the dealer announcement.  They are going to let me know when they plan to get it in, or at least a close idea of a delivery.

I almost bought the red '07 but with all the issues I've read here, I decided to wait for the '08, and with it as an anniversary model, I'm cool with that.

As far as seats and tourpak, it's a lot better than my current ride, a '76 FLH with a Mustang seat.  I'm really looking forward to it, the happiest I've been in years.

Thanks to all for all the input on different threads, it's been a great source of information.

Today I ordered a 08 SERK. I now have a 05 SE Eletraglide and had placed a deposit a month ago on my anticipated release of a SE Street glide. I have made up my mind to get a new bike and I do not want an Ultra so I changed my order to the SE Road king. I plan to sell/trade my 05 SE Eltraglide so I hope I am not making a mistake getting away from the batwing fairing but I NEVER listen to the radio and never cared for the additional weight carried so high because of the radio and fairing > Any thoughts?

I'm sure the new '08 will ride just about like my old '76 FLH,,, NOT...

My wife and I are going to Hawaii in August and I have an Electra Classic reserved for th e 21st and the 22nd.  I hope enjoy the sunshine and get a better idea what my new bike will ride and handle like.  The Road Kings were all reserved.  We're going to be in Kona from the 11th through the 24th, so we plan to do a LOT of site seeing while we're there.

Hopefully when we return there may be a new bike waiting for me, but that might be wishful thinking so soon.

I'm sure I'll have a great time with the new bike and have already found this forum to be very helpful.  I read about the problems with the '07s and thought as late as I'm getting into this, the '08 would be a safer bet.

Thanks again and I'll keep all informed of it's arrival and I'll share pictures soon after.  I'm selling a couple of my toys to make this happen, so I've got to keep positive and move on.

Just thought I'd give you all an update on the new '08 SERK.

I was at the shop yesterday and they told me November.  They already have one of the SE V-Rods in 105 colors along with several other standard bikes in 105 colors.

So what else could I do, I bought lots of stuff for a bike I don't even have yet.

I bought the Tour-Pak with mounting hardware and a new V/H true duals and the V/H oval 4" mufflers.  They don't have a PCM III out yet for the '08s with the new ECMs so I'll probably be able to get it about the same time the bike comes in.

You know a few weeks ago someone had a thread about the rubber plugs etc on the bag filler panels, well I know what goes in them, the docking brackets for the Tour-Pak mounting kit.  The SERK doesn't come with the docking brackets so for about $1k I was so very fortunate to be able to purchase ALL the stuff needed.   

As I said in the posting about "not so much excitement this year" thread, there are 18 Harley models with the 105 colors.  I'm just hoping that the SERK 105 is a bit more flashy to keep it a step above a standard RK in 105 colors.

Anyway, I'll let you all know when I get an update or when I pick it up.
