Jumping in late on this issue, purchased my FLHRSE3 08/03/06, my Extended Warranty expires 08/03/13. I have 7 years of warranty. Although, the FLHRSE3 came with a 2 year warranty, I paid for a 5 year Extended Warranty. My point is if my 7 year warranty is realy just 5, shouldn't the expiration date be 08/03/11?

A 7 year extended gets you 5 more. It runs concurrent with the factory warranty. After the 2 year factory warranty is up, you get to pay them $50 to not fix your bike.

Come on folks.  You are riding a Harley.   Nothing will ever break, right.......yeah I got the 7 year warranty.  Figure if it ain't broke in 7 years, it ain't gonna break.

Seems  to me that of most of these leaks appear after a prolonged duration of highway running, while others that are only run for shorter heating periods either take longer to show, or not at all. This was definitely true in my case, both cylinders had gasket failure shortly after a 2000 mile, run. My feeling is that we will see a lot more of these failures as better weather gets more "touring" bikes are doing just that.

Mine leaked with less than 3700 miles on her. The longest trip I was able to fit in after getting her in late August was 300 - 350 miles I believe. I am not hard on my scooter at all. I think it's a crap shoot when it will happen and to whom.

My 1st leak(rear head) came last week at 5100 miles, most of my rides are 50 to 150 miles, although that is about to increase with riding weather getting prime.

Update - 800 miles and (so far) no leak.  Only problem was a HID light that did not work and that turned our to be a defective fuse of all things...
