Fugly... Sundowner seat on the '08 SERK
« on: December 03, 2007, 11:21:52 PM »

Okay guys - I'm interested in starting a thread to describe just how effen ugly that Sundowner seat is on my 08 SERK. Forget low profile lines, graceful faux Ostrich leather inserts, and a slender rear passenger pad. Nope, it's big, fat and godawful FUGLY!!! I hope it's comfortable though... It had better be.  :-X

I like big butts and I just can't lie
You other bruthas can't deny
When a girl walks in with an iddy-biddy waist and a round thing in your face
You get sprung
When you pull out front
And you noticed that butt was stuffed
Deep in the jeans she's wearing
I'm hooked and I can't stop starin'

you get the pitcha!

Okay, it does add another set of "saddlebags" to the bike.  But then skinny women are like hugging a sack of antlers.

I had one for 2 up on my FXDWG3 .. my wife gave me no end of grief over how FUGLY it was.  I told her she needed to look with her ass instead of her eyes.

:6: :laugh4: :laugh4: :grin3: :bigcry: That's too funny. I only come to this site for the humor. I love it!

Pics attached... but be warned, looking at these pics for extended periods will make your eyes hurt and may even cause permanent retina damage! Corrective procedures may be required.

And here's one to show what it looked like before I created such a thing of ugliness...

That is the Sundowner?  That's hideous.  A seat could never ride comfortably enough to justify being that ugly.

Looking at those pictures and hearing how you feel about the new seat are the same reasons I still have the stock seat on my bike. Like your bike there is nothing that I have found as pleasing to the eye as the stock seat on my SEEG. I have been contemplating getting another seat (considering a H-D Tallboy) for times when I'll have the KTP on, but just haven't felt the urge to pull the trigger yet. I think w/a KTP or CTP on the bike the larger seats don't look so out of place. :nixweiss:

Maybe you should list it on Ebay...just don't show any pictures of it on your bike.  ;D

Just an idea here, and probably what I am going to do, take my stock nice looking seat to an upholsterer I know and have him stuff it with gel. I am looking for comfort also, but just can't bring myself to putting that sundowner on my bike. I can get my seat done for approx. $150.00- half the price of a sundowner and a quarter price of a Corbin. If it doesn't pan out to be that great, which I doubt seeing as though all the seat companies are offering this as an upgrade-Corbin,Danny Grey,Le Pera- I'm only out 150.00.

I have always preferred the look and feel of a Corbin seat. I am waiting patiently for them to offer a Classic Solo seat for my CVO Springer. I plan on keeping the stock seat...stock.

Anyone happen to know what a 'stock' '04 SEEG seat would cost?  :nixweiss: I guess you can still order them.  :-\ spyder
