Anyone that knows me very well is aware that I can't do anything mechanical.  I did think I'd be able to adjust the passenger boards and even got the manual out, all to know avail.  I can't get any of the four bolts for adjusting them to budge.  What am I doing wrong.
Any help/insight would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bob

Noting at all. They're put in with some really good threadlock. It will take a good amount of force to get them to go. I used an allen socket on a breaker bar to break them loose. I thought I was going to break something. Do the top one first so the bottom one remains tight while you loosen the top one.

I'd assume it takes an allen wrench? Jarring it like an impact wrench works better than just brute force. Start with a 16 ounze hammer, if that doesn't work try a 2 pound hammer. Just don't force it.  ;D

Must be different on the 05's as we only have 1 allen bolt on each side.

Bob...if you don't have a breaker bar, a piece of pipe slipped over the end of your ratchet works nicely.

That one allen bolt does allow a single up or down adjustment for the whole unit though Bob.  There is an extra bolt hole on each side to allow you raise it higher or move it down depending on which hole you screw the bolt in to.  With some exhaust, however, you can't always use all the adjustment.

Seriously, the Jarring blow of a hammer on the wrench head works wonders.

It's strange how the MOCO can really tighten things like the floorboards but can't tighten something really important like the compensator nut.   :nixweiss:

Dangit you guys, now I'm going to have to go out and buy tools I don't know how to use!  ;D  All I've got are allen wrenches, I guess I need an allen socket, at least as a first step.  You think I can find a chrome one anywhere?  :nixweiss:

Thanks Don, that was my first thought since I couldn't get the other bolts broken loose, I moved the right one down then when I went to the left side I couldn't get to it because of the exhaust.
