I hope the bags cover up most of this docking hardware. :o  Doc

No chit.  That's what I was thinking when I saw it, too. :-\

You could always take the extensions off the bottoms of the saddle bags and mount them on top of the lids upside down, that would surely cover the docking hardware. ;D

Look here (use the zoom view) this may give you a better idea what the hardware will look like with bags on.

We were talking about this at the office this morning. The one thing everyone agreed on was the SERG should be priced at about 27K if you look at all the extras on the Ultra; heat shields, lowers, rider backrest, king lighted tourpack w/ liner, better radio w/ CB, rear speakers, rear crash bars, rear tail light, etc, considering the price of the Ultra, it is a hell of a better deal.
Of course the Ultra doesn't have those cheesy glue on abortions on the bottoms of the saddle bags. They must be worth 10K! :o

...and not to mention, no shark fins. ???  Doc

That's actually the part I wasn't too sure about, thinking they might would have looked better painted to match the bike they went on.  But in that photo, it looks pretty good.

It might just be me I'm used to seeing chrome in that area with existing docking hardware. :nixweiss:

It's not like I havef "OCD". ;D

That's kinda the way it's looking. Redesign = more $ spent on NEW parts.

Yup, that exactly right, more $$$$ for the moco, aftermarket parts, etc.
