My Son-n-Law and Grand Daughter
« on: February 18, 2009, 10:30:11 PM »

Well as I was driving home from work when I got one of those dreaded calls that no one wants to get.  My Son-n-Law and my grand daughter had a Motorcycle wreck... It just made me sick and to tell you the truth I just did not want to believe it.  I went to the Hospital where my kids were and after seeing them I knew that the good Lord was working overtime...... One good GREAT thing is that they are believers. After C.A.T. scans and X-Rays NO broken bones just a nasty cut to the head of my son-n-law and just skinned up pretty bad.

The story,

Brandon went to school to pick up his daughter and he was wearing his full face helmet.  He took it off and made Kylee (my grand daughter) put it own and was heading back to their house to get another helmet so that they could go riding.  Two house from their house a dog ran out in front of them causing them to hit the dog and crash.  Brandon put himself between the bike and Kylee trying to keep her safe.  I think that the Angles was guiding them in slow motion and cushioning their fall as Kylee just got  bang up a little and just a little road rash.  Brandon on the other hand got a pretty good cut on his head and a lot of road rash.

The GOOD NEWS is they will be fine and are heading home form the Hospital......  I am sure that they will be sore tomorrow but are very lucky with what could have happen.

I know that accidents happens and this just maybe a message from the man upstairs to keep us in check and make us aware of what could have happen.

I thank my lord and savior Jesus Christ for watching over my KiDS...

A combination of knowing what he was doing, good instincts, good fortune and a lot of love all rolled together there.  Terribly sorry for the scare Mike.  For you and everyone else there.  And thanks be that they're safe and warm tonight.  Nothing more important than that.

I believe! Angels are with us everywhere....this is another fine example. Glad everyone is relatively unscathed considering the possibilities. Tell him to buy a lotto ticket!

Bubba,

Glad to hear everyone is ok, hope they aren't too sore tomorrow.

Now that we know they are ok and not hurt, how badly did the bike suffer and did someone have something to say to the irresponsible dog owner?   It is sad that your kids / grand child as well as the dog had to pay for this over an owner that didn't care enough to keep the dog in his own yard or under control etc.

it was a scary, but realtively great day.  Our childrn are very precious.  It is one thing when it is one of us, totally different when it is a child.  I have done the same thing with my son, not the crash part.  I will think twice about doing that again.  Prayers sent from NJ and I am very glad that all will be alright.  Ted
