Suggestions for adding more luggage space???
« on: May 19, 2009, 10:27:32 PM »

08 SERK w/ the soft leather tourpak...

I am looking to find a way to add more bag's or something else to be able to carry more stuff.  I want to do some long distance 2-up touring,  and cant figure out a way to strap down a tent.  I almost think I could get more space if I took off the tourpak and did a sissy bar with a large pak..

Ideas??  Would be cool if they made something to strap on top of the bags...

Thx

Gotta be something else!  The paint job on a trailer would kill me!

Painting the trailer can be done anytime.
Getting it is the big hurdle.
But we have faith in you!
Just do it!

Your right, unless you have a tourpak with a luggage rack on top, your better off to use a sissy bar and luggage rack.  After that you can strap a tent down anywhere on your sissy bar bag.

Those on-top-of-the-saddlebag storage pods have a drawback though.  They don't clear a tour pak.  So to gain storage (at least easy to use storage) you have to lose some.

Do the trailers come in a balck gel coat?  If so, that'd do, if I were so inclined...which I'm not.

Ok kick me back down again  :( :(  Good point....

Looks like the saddleman might clear because of the taper...  The RideTek toppers with their bags def wont... But I wonder if I could trap a tent on one side and a 6-pak on the other?
