 had my wheel checked mine is on the recall, is harley suppose to overnite the wheel to the dealer?  I don't want to wait a week to get a wheel, anyone had a wheel replaced and what was the process and time wait?

My yellow got checked today.  BAD WHEEL!!  They said they will know in a couple of days how long it will take.  The bad code is one with a "R1" or "R2"

Who makes the wheels for HD?

Also these wheels should have a x-ray, simply looking at them may not reveal a small internal crack that may grow. It sounds like someone is trying to save a dollar that may cost a life.

My rim was shipped over night. I dropped the bike off in the p.m. ... dealer pulled wheel in the a.m. ..... had the rim the next day.

Took mine in yesterday for check...haven't heard yet.  SM did tell me the letter from MOCO says they will overnite a wheel, if they have one available.  I'll report findings once he calls

Also finally got radio display to blank while I was checking the bike in.  It's been intermetintently blanking pretty much from day one.  Looks like they will be putting a new radio in also.

My yellow one got checked yesterday, Bad wheel.  They said the ordered the wheel and should be here in a couple of days (we'll will see).  Just for reference I picked up my bike  Nov 4th 2008.   Let's Roll

Mine was bad with a build date of 4/09 ... that's quite a spread  :nixweiss:

There is a date stamp, either on the left side of the neck .. in front of the tank or on the down tubes

Just got the call from my dealer my wheel is fine, off to the Dinasour BBQ in Syracuse Saturday and then St. Andrews NB on Sunday for a week sailing. Road Glides rule.

Live 10 minutes from the Dinasour .... leaving for Sturgis Friday otherwise would have tried to meet up. Maybe next time.
