2010 o2 sensors
« on: December 19, 2009, 12:17:20 PM »

When I took my o2 ports out I coudnt find a spring clip or anyway other than unbolting them. It doesnt seem correct to put that much stress on the wires. I was looking at them last night and still dont see away to get them on except to twist back five turns. :nixweiss: I gotta be missing somthing.

Trace their harnesses back and find where they plug in to the main harness.  Unplug them.  Let them be free.  Like tata's without bras.

The only pic I have seen showed about 2' of wire then a plug. I haven't looked at the routing of the wire on mine yet.

And, just to be sure an o2 is an o2, doesn't matter which is in which pipe, right?

Doesn't matter which sensor is in which hole.  Unless....

Unless their harness lengths are different so the place they reach to isn't interchangeable.  That'd be obvious though.

Do need to pay particular attention that the place each plugs in to the main harness is kept straight.  ECM will expect data from the front and rear hole separately.  Don't want to mix that up.

Take the RH side cover and both O2 sensors plug in side by side.  You have 2 cut one or two tie straps.  One O2 sensor is grey and the other is black (wire plugs).  On the back side of the stock headpipe, the headpipe is even marked "G" or "B" next to where each O2 sensor screws in..  One O2 sensor is forward and slightly above the other so get them back in the correct ports.

Actually, when said imitating Scotty from Star Trek it's quite amusing rather than chitty....
