Just a little update...the bike's not quite done yet (should be by the end of this week or early next) but I thought I'd show you what the paint looks like so far...

I went for the full bags, not the extensions.  There was virtually no extra prep work and I have a full 4-5" of extra storage in the front half of the bottoms.  The painter was very happy with pre-paint finish on them.

In my opinion, the '04 & '05's are made for the extended bags.  When I first saw the '09 Road Glide, I thought it looked good, but those bag extensions with that seam showing just didn't do anything for me.  When the '10 Street Glide came out, It looked better, but still, the bags taper at the bottom and I didn't want that either.  That's why I went with the full extended bags.  It would definitely have give you more room for the graphics.  At any rate, most Harley owners want to do what they can to make their bikes unique.  You have certainly done that.  That's what I was after too, only I went about it in a different way.  At least we'll be able to find our bikes in a crowded parking lot!

Just a little update...the bike's ALMOST finished, just waiting for a couple of small parts.  Thought you'd be interested in some "almost done pics...

To answer the original question, it still looks like a CVO to me.  It looks great.

That is looking good!!!!! Is the rear fender a separate piece or does it sit on top of the OEM fender? I've seen some like this that have to sit on top the OEM fender and I was always reluctant to do that due to the fact it may damage the OEM fender. :nervous:

You've done a great job tastefully customizing the rear of your bike. :2vrolijk_21:
