I know this has been beat to death but just one more time.
« on: September 15, 2010, 04:00:10 PM »

Traded the 09 SEUC (just to many problems)for the 2011 SERGU,

Have finished the break in period and its now ready for a Super Tuner and Pipes and Air Cleaner... But I was thinking if I replace the cams could I get another 2 or 3 hp or tq out of this Rio Red FLTSEU or just a waste of time and money.

I am leaning toward the D&D or the V&H crossover.  Does anyone have their dyno results they can post for these pipes or any others combination?

Just want to make a well informed decision on this stage one, I am looking for usable HP and TQ meaning low end and mid range is were its gonna live. But keep in mind I will more than likely get bored and want to improve heads and compression down the road.

The ruse comes with a high flow air cleaner already no need to change that.

Chrome O, This is just my opinion, but it seems like a lot of time and money for a small improvement. I have an 09SEUC (silver). I did the fullsac/mastertune/1.75 inch baffle replacement and HD free flow air filter (with K&N filter ). I am going to leave it at that and if something breaks after warranty is out then maybe some Andrews 54 cams/ Headwork. It seems like a lot of people, including myself on occassion, want to take a product that was designed for a certain use and turn it into something else. I guess I am just happy with my bike the way it is and find it hard to understand why so many people want to make so many engine upgrades, especially while under warranty. I can understand changing things like seat and suspension changes, but if you have a good running motor why take a change and possibly make it less reliable. Just my 2 cents combined with 4 beers. Good Luck whatever you decide. CAHDBIKER

I have the TTS tuner, Fullsac 1.75 baffles in the stock exhaust, stock air cleaner (it's already high flow on the SESG model) and bolt in cams.   Did it for a lot less than you're about to spend and got more power.

No head work........wanted to keep the reliability, so kept compression stock for the long hauls.  But I have good, street usable power in my bagger.  Take a look at the dyno sheet.......a smooth, almost perfect power band that clears 100 ft. lbs. of torque at 2700 rpms.  My dyno sheet is the first one that Jim posted in this thread......  http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=44545.0

By the way, if mods are an issue for you getting warranty work done, you need to go down the street to another delership.  Just had the compesator replaced under warranty and the wife just had an entire motor replaced (she also has Fullsac baffles, TTS tuner, cams and Ness Big Sucker).  They even took the cams out of her old motor and put them and the adj. pushrods in the new motor for her.  The mods have never came into question on any of my last three bikes (factory warranty and after market).

so you only changed the cam, baffle and tuner....but the thread above states there was also "No headwork, stock B lifters, new timken inner cam bearings and SE tapered adjustable pushrods"...whats the 'true' story? i am one confirmation from buying them for my setup.

according to your post above, these are your cams, right, the 574 cams? http://feulingparts.com/wp/feuling/v-twin/harley/camshafts/reaper%E2%84%A2-camshafts/ their site says:
Quote
574 Cams – Wicked power band for modified engines. This is a great all around camshaft with solid low end performance and mind blowing mid and top end power. Works best with modified cylinder heads, increased compression ratio, performance exhaust and intake systems. Performance valve springs, pushrods and lifters required. RPM 2,250 – 6,800

just trying to keep it straight is all...

You already have a high flow Ventillator Air Cleaner on the FLTRUSE, no need to spend extra money unless you are looking for a specific look or even MORE flow.
