Here's a picture of the rear of my '09 SERG. I have fought with the miss alignment off and on for a couple years. I started with a new rear bracket and eventually designed a stamping press and stamp my new adjustable rear brackets from 11 gauge stainless steel. They fit into the original rubber bushing mount on the rear and allow you to loosen up the front muffler clamps and just slide the mufflers over at the rear to align the mufflers in the center of the factory outlet in the fender and bag cutouts.
I have not decided yet if I'm going to do these and offer them. The press labor is all by hand and it does take some time to get these correct. But when I look at the possible bikes that they will correct the muffler spacing, it looks like there may be some demand if I can keep the cost down on them. There are approximately 3k '09 SERG's and the same number for each year for the SESG's.
I'll try to post some pictures later this weekend of the new offset slotted stainless brackets.
The bottom line is that the MOCO did a great job on the body work and then dropped the ball on placing the mufflers in the correct location to take advantage of the cutouts.
How hard would it have been for them to have done the job right?
