Tour Pak for 2009
« on: July 07, 2011, 08:29:31 AM »

Does anyone know if the king tour pak is available in CVO silver?  According to the catalog it doesn't look like it is available, just the chopped tour pak.  I assume the actual color is stardust silver.

I know the king was available in the CVO silver for 09, it was latter in the year than the chopped.  Several members have the king.

The pak from HD does not have graphics.  Several members have had LarryB paint them.  He does great work.  If you look at his postings, you'll see them.  Good luck!

Sure will. And the 4 point mount which replaces the stock 2 pt. on the fender, and a keyed to match lock and an inside light (if you want it) and a rider back rest to match.

Here's the gold standard for the Silver/Black RG. LarryB's Grey Ghost. Still dream about this bike. Check out this thread as well.

Yes both are available from HD. CVO painted. I have both the chopped tour and the Kind tour pak with speakers exactly like the 2011 SERG. Once the 11 came out my dealer got all the parts off of the kind tour and ordered it. Did take 5 months to come in but looks great. The light strips help break up the color (solid silver). Yes Speakers and all can be added. Come to think of it you can get dang near anything from HD with cash!! :)

Might sell my chopped tour pak becuase once these women sit in front of the king tour pak the chopped is a hard sell. But also like to remove it all for solo trips.

Can you add a speaker kit to the chopped tour pak?

HD doesn't offer speaker pods for the chopped tour pak; however, Hell's Foundry offers them, and an Ebay seller offers them as well.  A member here added HD's speaker pods to the chopped tour pak on his 2011 CVO Street Glide, though I'm not sure what mods he made to them or the passenger backrest.  I didn't bookmark or save the thread showing his bike, but it's on the SESG/SESG2 forum.

The answer to your question is "Yes," you can add speaker pods to the chopped tour pak, though you'll need to use either aftermarket speaker pods or figure out how to adapt the pods from the HD king tour pak.

To add a bit more information, HD has used two different size and configurations for speaker pods in recent years.  The typical pods used on Ultras is one; the other is the pods used on the '06 and '07 CVO Ultras which incorporate the rider headset connector in the pod and are a different size than the typical pods.

Good luck with your research.

:worthless:If you contact Kosco Harley Davidson, Kinnellon NJ, 973 838 8800, they should have a brand new King Tour Pak in stock, box never opened, don't ask me how I know, long story. And as luck would have it, I have a brand new spoiler to match. Both are the stardust silver you are looking for. PM me if dealer can't find the tour pak.
