Powercommander 5 with Autotune
« on: August 28, 2011, 02:12:54 PM »

Anyone have any experience with this product good or bad. Trying to decide on a fuel management system still & looking at all options. I have experience with the TTS mastertune on previous bike. Apprecaite any comments...Bike is a 2011 FLTRUSE. Plan on changing out the head pipes to either V & H power duals, or Fullsac "X" pipe or even considering the D & D 2-1's...

Who will be dialing the bike in?  You or a dyno shop?  In either case consider sticking with whichever device the person doing the tuning is most familiar with.

I don't know any good tuners in my area. I've used the TTS before with map provided by fullsac. Guess will just stick with fullsac for it all. Was just curious about PC 5 with AT if anyone has used it. Few years back I used the thunder Max with AT with good luck.

I've had for two years and very happy with map provided by FuelMoto. Changed to PowerVision and kept the wide band sensors b/c I'm planning on changing gear ratio and wanted to be able to adjust speedo.

Not to hijack the thread, but how do you like the Powervision?? Does Fuel moto provide good maps for most combinations or is more tuning required. I remember my Fullsac provided TTS map was really good.

It's great, I told Jamie what I had done to bike and he mapped it. I plugged it in and it was better than the initial map he did for my PCV. IDK if it was luck or what, but I haven't had to play with it at all. No decel pop like I had to tune out before. It's also nice that you can remove the unit after you flash the ECM

JMHO but any "supplied" map is just a good base map to start with.

No experience with the PC V with autotune, but I heard you can adjust AFR's for each individual gear.
That to me seems like a great idea.  You could lean out 6th for good fuel mileage.

I have had the PCV and Autotune for about 14,000 miles and love it.
Love the starter maps, but I do have Jamie tune when I tinker around and change things like adding 107" slugs.
I may try the Powervision some day, but not in any hurry.

Usually I would agree, but when I had the bike with the Fullsac supplied TTS map on the dyno the tech said not to touch anything and that it was 99% perfect. Maybe I just got lucky with that one :confused5:
