Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. What a wealth of information on this site!! I do have a question. Has anyone come up with a solution for the delay in throttle response on the new generation Harleys?  I read a little bit about VH's Throttle Pak, but the reviews were mixed at best. I had an 03 SERK that I loved and just can't get used to this new set-up. Help!

Fly by wire......throttles (along with the black box computer),  does create a "slight" delay.   Not sure there is much you can do to improve it.

My 39 Chevy streetrod with an LT 1 motor in it and (a computer),  is (not) FBY,  but there is a genuine "lag" of about 1.5 to 2.0 seconds (my guess) from the time I stomp on the pedal until (all hell breaks loose) and it tries to go up the road sideways......... ::)

Welcome from East Tennessee.  You will enjoy these folks and the great conversation/information that is available here.  I have a 2012 SESG and had a 09 SG both with the electronic throttle but have not noticed any lag.  I've had lots of carb bikes over the years ( and rebuilt more than my fair share of them) and the difference between the carb and the FI with the electronic throttle is night and day.  Miss the carbs from time to time but wouldn't want to go back.  Maybe the delay you are seeing is something that the dealer needs to address?  May be a software or computer issue that needs tweeking....

Anyway, have fun here and keep it between the ditches. :bananarock:
