My new project.

Just picked up this 2009 street glide from a buddy of mine. Got such a great deal I couldn't pass it up. (Something also my son can ride when we go a the "guys" rides). Here's my ideas, put the stock seat back on and sell the sundowner, replace the Willie G skulls and replace with regular chrome pieces, add cb. It has progressive 944's but I'm looking for 940's to replace with. Front mono tubes with chrome forks. I have an extra set of cvo mufflers,need to add baffles from full sac. It's a start, but very much looking forward to the projects and time with my son on the road.

 I am doing the same thing. My son is 26 now and we have more fun riding together now more than ever. It is a Family thing. I know you understand.

I had a 09 Street Glide the same color.  Huge regret when I traded for my Limited.  That is a awesome ride.

Installed 4" mufflers with 2" baffles. Much better than stock ones.

Traded the spoke wheels for new 18" cast ones. Also came with new tires. Not a big spoke guy.

Fireguy, that's a great idea.  My son is 23, and we love riding together. 

Plus, this would be the perfect excuse to get a second bike.  "But honey pie, it's for our son.  Why don't you what him to be happy???"

Intercom system is sitting on the workbench ready for installation. Looking on eBay for mono tubes and front chrome forks as well.

That's awesome! Can't go wrong with a Street Glide! Looks like good mods you are doing for your son. I hope you have many good rides with him.

I have two daughters, neither of whom are interested in riding themselves. The younger one (18 now!) likes to ride as my BSR though, but she's busy in college and doesn't have much time to ride. Maybe this summer she'll be able to ride with me more often. I enjoy having her along...
