Checked it over and prepped it for next week’s ride to the Smokies.  Headed your way Sunday Dave.

Nice 88 mile ride yesterday in East TN on the CVO, high of 77 degrees which is perfect in my opinion.

Hard to beat riding the Smokies.  Smokey Mountain Nation Park is beautiful.  So many good rides in the area.

Decided to replace my S&S lifters with Fueling (supporting local businesses) after my S&S were taking too long to pump up (IMO).
They had about 50K miles on them and still looked pretty decent. Cam lobes look good.
All this on my built 124 in the 2019 cvo with 90K miles on the clock (70K on the motor).

Tweaked my suspension a little bit for my last ride to the desert this year, really liking the race tech/Ohlins combo on this bike!

Life is good! LOL 😆

Gave the CVO a good wash in the morning, it was cool, low 60's.  After lunch low 70's took a nice 110 mile ride.  Temps are usually warmer than this in late May, but I'm sure enjoying the cooler temps.

Packed her up, getting ready to ride home.  Will hit 1,500 miles by the time we get back to Birmingham.  Great week up here in the Smokies, rained nearly every day but we were able to dodge it all week and never got rained on.

I Rode the CVO Tuesday and Wednesday for Errands.  Rode the Pan America Special to meet a friend for a Cigar.  Figured out how to turn ETMS off on the CVO yesterday.  Then took her for  ride.  So much nicer with out the ETMS.

Roger that Dave, the parameters that the ETMS kicks in is too much.

Took a sunrise Sunday morning ride.

Can you tell us more about the ETMS? Why exactly is it better with it off?
It does more than shut down the rear cylinder when it's hot?

For one thing if the ambient temperature is 90* and you pull up to a stop light the EITMS does its’ thing. Sometime jerky when taking off, without activation just better slow speed action for me.

Something about radio equipped models too……… my 24 owners manual explains it clear as mud.

I rode from Gila Bend, Ariz. to Santa Nella, Calif......648 miles.  At 73 yrs. old it's not fun......but I still got it when I need it!

“Gila Bend”! 🥵
Been there too many times over the years, last trip was April 2 this year.
Coming to the coast from Tucson and the first time I ever remember rain! LOL
It was the only time I was in a hurry and made record time. I’m 78 on my upcoming birthday and still can do the mileage when I need to.

A couple of years ago I rode a SG back from Phoenix to Dago in August, what we do for friends, right?
Heat was over 110 but I was only 75 at the time and no problem!

I'm in the bay area right now......Hayward.  Jim at Metal Dragon is going to change my pushrods in the morning.

The next time you're in the Tucson area let me know....I'm about 15 miles south.
